Samsung has announced Spotify as its go-to music streaming partner where the latter will be available across all of its devices. The announcement was made during the Galaxy Unpacked 2018 where we also get to see the Galaxy Note 9 and Galaxy Watch. It is expected to help both companies reach more users and eventually their respective goals.
Starting with Samsung, it will offer the Spotify app pre-installed on its smartphones. This is not just it, Spotify will also be a part of the phone set-up experience where users will get an option to link their Samsung and Spotify accounts. Similarly, Bixby will offer song recommendations and play searched songs via Spotify. It will do so even for those who have never used Spotify before or are not subscribed to the premium plan.
This integration with Spotify will also be available on a number of other Samsung devices including smart TVs and the newly-introduced Galaxy Home smart speaker. There will obviously be syncing functionality so that you can start listening on one device and continue on another device depending on where you are.
Samsung said that these features are just the beginning of the partnership with Spotify. There will be more features and benefits which will be revealed with time.
