There have been a lot of reports about the Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10 Plus flagships but nothing much is known about the third variant supposedly called Galaxy S10 Lite. The only thing that we have heard repeatedly about the "lite" version is that it will be aimed at those who want the flagship experience without breaking the bank. But thankfully, there is finally a leak which details some of the specifications and features one should be expecting in exchange for paying less money.
The leak has been shared by the well-known concept designer Ben Geskin (@VenyaGeskin1) who tweeted all the details. As per him, the budget Galaxy S10 Lite will sport a flat Infinity-O display. It means the display will feature an O shaped cutout for the selfie camera while ensuring that there is only glass on the front panel. He even shared a render to show what it might look like which you can see at the beginning of this post.
Under the hood, it is expected to come with either Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 or Snapdragon 8150 processor. The latter is an upcoming flagship chipset expected to be seen in 2019 flagships. If Samsung actually decides to offer this processor with the "lite" version, it will definitely become an interesting device because of the cheaper pricing. But even if it does not, Snapdragon 845 will still be a good choice for next year device.
It is further speculated to arrive in three configuration variants: 4GB RAM with 64GB storage, 6GB RAM with 64GB storage, and 6GB RAM with 128GB storage. There will be a dual rear camera setup which is in contrast with previous claims of only a single rear camera. It is said to have a side-mounted fingerprint scanner with pricing expected to be somewhere between $650 and $700.
This new leak does make the Galaxy S10 Lite look like an interesting proposition. We will be keeping you updated on any more details that will arrive in the future.
