Samsung has apparently backtracked free Galaxy themes trial policy

26 December 2018 2

It was last month when Samsung issued an alert regarding a Samsung Themes store policy change which made everyone question the decision. It announced that post-Android Pie upgrade, all free Galaxy themes will come with a 14-days trial period which self-explains all the backlash. But as it turns out, Samsung seems to have backtracked on the same.

As noticed by SamMobile, Samsung seems to have taken down all the references related to the free Galaxy themes trial period from the Samsung Galaxy store. It is being reported while downloading or applying a new free theme from the store application, there is no message notifying users about the trial period timeline.

It has been noticed that even the button which used to remind users about the trial period has also disappeared. Previously, Samsung used to remind users about the end of trial period one day as well as 10-minutes prior to the expiry time. All these changes do point to the direction that free Galaxy themes trial period does not exist anymore.

Samsung has not made any formal announcement regarding the same. If there is an announcement or some other change, we will make sure to keep you updated.
