Every year the smartphone manufacturers try to release new innovative products to lure buyers, same will be the case this year. From the last couple of years, the Chinese OEMs are taking lead in innovation. Back in 2016, Xiaomi wraps off the cover from Mi Mix with the complete bezel-less design. In 2017 Honor announced Magic phone with the even better screen-to-body ratio. Last year Oppo and Vivo took the stage in the first half to announce complete bezel-less phones with a pop-up cameras setup, though the approach is different but both the companies try to bring innovative product without a top bezel.
From the look of the things, the South Korean giant Samsung is gearing to announce their latest innovative product foldable phone at the MWC 2019. The device is in limelight from past few months, today a new teaser video shared by Vietnam YouTube channel which showcases a number of future products which Samsung may announce in coming years.
In this teaser video, one of the product is Samsung's upcoming foldable phone which is heavily rumored to be announced at the next Unpacked event on February 20th alongside the 10th anniversary Galaxy S10 series. As expected the video is taken down but we have reuploaded as well.
The teaser video showcased the foldable phone is enclosed in a protective case to ensure the complete design doesn't get leaked. It's the clearest view of Samsung foldable phone we have seen so far. Unfortunately, we can't confirm whether the final product will be similar to the product shown in the video.
The company confirmed the foldable phone front display will be significantly smaller than the main display. During the video, a woman opens the foldable phone like a closed book. Back at the developer's conference, Samsung confirmed the front or cover display screen resolution will be 840 x 1960 pixels. The display pixels density will be 420 pixels-per-inch. The main display screen resolution will be 1536 x 2152 pixels and the pixels density remains at 420 pixels-per-inch.
At the MWC 2019, LG is also expected to announce their first foldable phone. Huawei and Oppo are also gearing to announce foldable phones in the second half of the year. Stay tuned, we will keep you updated.
