Samsung 14 Nov
While Samsung was previously released security updates for Galaxy Note 8 based upon Android Oreo, the Korean tech giant is now considering Android Pie updates for the last year’s note lineup flagship though it seems folks in the United States would have to be patient. The company did recently announced a schedule for Android Pie roll out in the Chinese market and is now rolling out in other parts of the world as well. So if you’re a Galaxy Note 8 user, this is good news for you. It’s time to grab your popcorns.
The update has been out for countries like Bulgaria and Slovakia as confirmed by an online site that offers Samsung firmware for different models launched in the past. This means that its matter of few days before you could expect an Android Pie update OTA notification heading your way. After that, you could expect a bunch of security updates, UI tweaks and performance improvements rolling out soon too.
Users rolled in for public beta program would be getting it on priority compared to the rest of the world while users in the United States with carrier locked devices would have to wait much more.
