Samsung is known for slow software updates for its devices, however, the South Korean company has initiated rolling out Android 9 Pie for few of its 2018 devices starting last week. First, it was the Galaxy A8+ which received the update for the latest Android OS, now it’s the turn of Galaxy A9 (2018) which is slated to taste the latest Android sweetness.
The OTA update which as of now is only available in Poland brings in the latest February Android security patch as well. Though these OS updates are for some odd reasons limited to the same countries where they are announced, at least for the time being. The A8+ software update is still limited to Russia and has not been rolled out to other countries. Hopefully, the A9 (2018) Android update gets a wider roll out.

Most of Samsung’s mid-range devices are scheduled to get Android Pie by the end the month of March and it is a pleasant surprise to see that Samsung not delaying the OTA updates like it used to do in past.
In case you have the Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018) and are based in Poland, then you can go to setting to initiate the download by going to the Settings » Software update menu on the phone. In case you’re able to update, do let us know your experience of One UI on your device.
