Samsung India has officially unveiled the Galaxy A20 smartphone in the country. It was unveiled globally about a couple of weeks ago as part of Samsung's plan to re-capture the mid-range smartphone segment. This new phone joins already available Galaxy A10, Galaxy A30, and Galaxy A50 smartphones in India.
With the Samsung Galaxy A20, buyers will get a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED notched display with 1560 x 720 pixels resolution. It has waterdrop styled notch (Infinity-V display) which is not as intrusive as the bigger notches available on many other phones. Under the hood, it has an octa-core Exynos 7884 processor clocked at 1.6GHz. There is only one configuration mode featuring 3GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage. For those who might need more storage, it offers microSD support up to 512GB.
The dual rear camera setup includes a 13-megapixel sensor with f/1.9 aperture and a 5-megapixel sensor with f/2.2 aperture. On the front, it has an 8-megapixel shooter with f/2.0 aperture. It has a 4,000mAh battery to keep the lights on and the good thing is that it offers 15W fast charging. On the software front, it runs Samsung's new One UI based on Android 9.0 Pie. Other features include USB Type-C port and fingerprint scanner.
The Samsung Galaxy A20 has been priced at Rs. 12,490 with sales starting April 8th. It has been made available in Red, Blue, and Black color variants.

The bigger display does give something to cheer about to me, with the AMOLED notched display. The notch gives a good feel to the looks.
The decent 4,000mAh battery and the 15W fast charging are also a couple of features you can bank on.
It's the Galaxy A series and as usual, looks promising with the features and set of hardware it's built with. Any particular USP of the phone?
To me it's just okay to see what I am seeing. But for the A20 isn't my phone.  Probably something from the new M series.
