Samsung has launched its newest Android Go smartphone named Galaxy A2 Core in India. It is the second such smartphone from the company and is a successor to last year's Galaxy J2 Core. Like any other Android Go phone, it brings entry-level specifications with a tweaked Android version meant to deliver best possible performance even on low specs.
The Samsung Galaxy A2 Core sports a 5-inch qHD TFT display with 960 x 540 pixels resolution. Under the hood, it has an octa-core Exynos 7870 processor clocked at 1.6GHz and coupled with 1GB of RAM. There is 16GB of internal storage with support for microSD cards up to 256GB.
In the camera department, there is a 5-megapixel rear camera with f/1.9 aperture and LED flash. The front camera also happens to be of 5-megapixels but there is no flash for obvious reasons. The whole package is powered by a 2,600mAh battery and it will be running Android Pie (Go edition) out of the box. It also has a 3.5mm headphone jack but no fingerprint scanner.
Samsung has priced the Galaxy A2 Core at Rs. 5,290 with sales via offline stores. There are two colors to choose from Black and White.
