Samsung has officially announced Galaxy A80 smartphone in Vietnam. It is an upper mid-range smartphone with triple rear cameras but its unique selling point is slider and rotational camera. It means the same triple camera module is used for capturing selfies and video calls as well.
The Samsung Galaxy A80 sports a 6.7-inch Full HD+ (2400 x 1080 pixels) Super AMOLED display. Under the hood, it has the Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G processor coupled with 8GB of RAM. It offers 128GB of internal storage with no microSD card support for storage expansion.
The triple camera module includes a 48-megapixel main sensor with f/2.0 aperture, an 8-megapixel Super wide-angle sensor with f/2.2 aperture, and a ToF 3D sensor for depth measurement. It is essentially a rear camera module but whenever the front camera is needed, the module slides up and rotates so that it can be used for taking selfies, making selfie videos, and more.
The whole package is powered by a 3,700mAh battery with support for 25W fast charging. On the software front, it runs Android 9.0 Pie out of the box. It also has an in-display fingerprint scanner with an option to choose from Black and Rose Gold color variants. It will go on preorders starting June 15th with sales starting July 6th. It has been priced at VND 14,990,000 (about $642) in the country.
