Samsung has officially announced that it’s releasing its mid-range smartphones from the Galaxy A-series in the US as well. There are three smartphones that will land in the country – Galaxy A50, Galaxy A20, and A10e. While the Galaxy A50 will arrive on June 13, its fellow phones will join it in the coming weeks.
Verizon is one carrier that has already confirmed that it will be offering the Galaxy A50. And, it’s expected that other carriers may soon join in as well. Talking about the Galaxy A20 and the Galaxy A10e, these phones will also be rolling out by some carriers, however, the names aren’t confirmed yet.
The Samsung Galaxy A50 was first showcased at this year’s MWC event and the Galaxy A20 first launched in Russia. The Galaxy A10e, the affordable of the three, on the other hand, is the fresh release. It was making its appearance via several certifications and benchmarking site since April and has now officially launched only.
So, starting first with the unknown device, the Galaxy A10e features a 5.83-inch Infinity-V display and it has a single 8MP rear camera. It has 32GB storage and a 3,000mAH battery. The company hasn’t shared more details on the same so we assume we’d hear more about it in the coming weeks during its availability.
The Samsung Galaxy A50 has a waterdrop notch display with a sleek design. It features a 6.4-inch full HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity-U Display. The device holds a bezel-free design and includes an in-display fingerprint scanner.
One of the highlights of the device is its triple rear cameras setup that includes a 5MP depth camera, 25MP main camera, and an 8MP ultra-wide camera. The camera setup also comes with Scene Optimizer that recognizes up to 20 unique situations and optimizes the color tones and other settings accordingly. It houses a fast charging 4,000mAH battery. It also features Bixby and Samsung Pay support.
Coming to the Galaxy A20, it features a 6.4-inch Infinity-V Display. It has dual rear cameras - 25MP AF (F1.7) + 5MP FF (F2.2) + 8MP FF (F2.2). It includes a single 8MP selfie camera and comes powered by an octa-core Exynos 7884 processor coupled with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage with support for microSD card for expansion up to 512GB. It houses 4,000mAh battery and runs One UI based on Android 9 Pie out of the box.
The Galaxy A20 will be available starting at $249.99 and the Galaxy A10e will be available starting at $179.99. The cost of the Galaxy A50 in the US is kept at $349 and it will be available starting tomorrow, June 13.
