Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event wasn’t only about the Galaxy Note 10 series, a couple of other big announcements were also made around the company’s new products, including a new laptop and a wearable.
The all-new Galaxy Book S is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8cx ARM processor and Windows 10. And, being an always-connected laptop like many others, the Book S comes with a touch-to-wake, instant-on features. The Snapdragon 8cx is built upon a 7nm process that offers 40% faster CPU and 80% faster GPU performance than the Galaxy Book 2.
The Galaxy Book S has a 13.3-inch display with 1080p resolution. It has 8GB LPDDR4X RAM, 720p front-facing camera. It comes with either 256GB or 512GB storage, expandable up to 1TB. One of the main aspects of Book S that Samsung touts is the longer battery life. According to the claim, the Book S can offer up to 23 hours of battery life and you can do video playback with only one charge.
Samsung has kept things very minimal and only one USB-C port is the proof of it. The Galaxy Book S is an ultra-thin and ultra-light laptop that is built with a premium anodized aluminum frame on the top and base.
Samsung claims the Book S has a sturdy mobile form factor and it weighs 0.96Kg. The Book S includes Samsung’s studio-quality Sound by AKG stereo speakers and Dolby Atmos offers immersive audio experience with tailored sound modes for movies, music, games, and more.

Together with the Galaxy Book S, Samsung also announced Galaxy Watch Active2 Under Armour Edition. This has been introduced in collaboration with Under Armour and it features a sturdy look for the fitness lovers. For your reminder, Samsung launched the Galaxy Watch 2 with rotating touch bezels ahead of the big event, so this is a new addition to the series. Samsung claims this new type of smartwatch has been designed specifically for dedicated runners.
Samsung announces that the purposefully-designed Galaxy Watch Active2 Under Armour Edition comes in a lightweight, sporty, aluminum body. Just like the standard edition, the special one comes in 40mm and 44mm size options as well.
Samsung says the new Galaxy Watch Active2 smartwatch comes preloaded with software that integrates with Under Armour’s fitness ecosystem. In addition to all those under the hood specs that the standard Galaxy Watch Active 2 smartwatch has, this new edition includes Under Armour’s MapMyRun app which lets you track your runs on a map. The watch has also been combined with UA HOVR connected footwear to improve the running and ultimately runners' performance. Furthermore, by connecting the watch with smartphones, users can see more detailed workout reports with added insights.

The Under Armour Edition will be available for $309 for the Bluetooth version, a $30 premium over the $279 aluminum Bluetooth Active 2. The new edition is available for grabs now. The Galaxy Book S laptop will be available in September for $999.
