Samsung adjusting second batch of Galaxy Fold pre-orders due to high demand | Report

17 September 2019 0

Samsung Galaxy Fold when re-launched got its first release in its home country only and the response has been great. But the first pre-order batch came with only a limited number of units of the Galaxy Fold and this disappointed many interested buyers. But fret not! You do have another chance or maybe many others to grab one for yourself.

Samsung is opening the second round of pre-orders on September 18 where it will make available more units than before. So, you do have a chance to get one. The decision has reportedly been made after looking at the high demand of the Galaxy Fold among users.

But Samsung would need to make certain adjustments since it’s also the same day when its first foldable phone will become available in select markets in Europe. It’s reported by the local media that Samsung will make available around 20,000-30,000 Galaxy Fold units in South Korea during the second pre-order run.

Comparing it with the first pre-orders round, Samsung kept the Galaxy Fold units limited to its stores in the country and only a small quantity being given to carrier partners. According to reports, 3,000 units of the device were given to Samsung’s stores and 1,000 units for the three major carriers combined. Reportedly, Samsung’s website sold out all the given units of the device in a mere 10 minutes and it didn’t take long for carriers as well to sell all the units.

So, this time, Samsung will not only bring more on its stores but will also be giving additional units to the major carriers, which are SK Telecom, KT, and LG Uplus so that maximum number of buyers could get their hands on.
