Samsung has refreshed its Galaxy M series of smartphones with the launch of Galaxy M30s and Galaxy M10s. These phones are enhanced variants of the Galaxy M30 and Galaxy M10 respectively that were announced at the beginning of this year. The biggest addition in the new models is bigger batteries with support for fast charging.
Starting with the Galaxy M30s, it has now been packed with a 6,000mAh battery which is even bigger than the 5,000mAh battery available on the predecessor. This new battery is claimed to offer 29 hours of video playback, 131 hours of music playback, and 49 hours of voice calls on a single charge. Since it is a huge battery, it is supported by 15W fast charging to help you get the phone recharged quickly.
The triple rear camera setup has been improved with a 48-megapixel primary camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera (123-degree FoV), and a 5-megapixel Live Focus camera. It comes with AI-powered features like Flaw Detector, Scene Optimizer, and Night Mode to help users get the best possible shots. The selfie camera continues to be a 16-megapixel shooter.
Under the hood, it has the new octa-core Exynos 9611 processor clocked at 2.3GHz which is a good upgrade over Exynos 7904 chipset on the previous model. There are two configurations, 4GB RAM with 64GB storage and 6GB RAM with 128GB storage, priced at Rs. 13,999 and Rs. 16,999 respectively. The display remains unchanged as Samsung has continued with the 6.4-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity-U display panel.
The Samsung Galaxy M10s comes with a 6.4-inch HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity-V display which is slightly bigger than the previous variant. It is powered by a new octa-core Exynos 7884B processor coupled with 3GB of RAM. It offers 32GB of onboard storage with microSD card support. The cameras remain the same on the new model which means you will get the same 13-megapixel and 5-megapixel dual-camera setup along with an 8-megapixel front camera.
The battery capacity has been increased to 4,000mAh with 15W fast charging support. It has been priced at Rs. 8,999 for the sole 3GB/32GB configuration model. You will be able to purchase both these new smartphones starting September 29th via Amazon India and Samsung's online store. These will not be sold offline as Galaxy M is an online-exclusive series.
