25 September 2019 0

Samsung has released a new Galaxy S10 software update that brings a number of major new features including the latest security patch. The update is available for the whole lineup i.e. Galaxy S10, Galaxy S10 Plus, Galaxy S10e, and Galaxy S10 5G. Most of the newly added features are from the Galaxy Note 10 phablet that was launched last month.

These are essentially camera features that will improve the quality of photos and videos shot using the Galaxy S10. The already available Night Mode has now been expanded to the front camera. It means you will see significant improvements in low-light or night-time selfies just like it is possible on the Galaxy Note 10.

Other newly added features include Super steady video stabilization, AR Doodle, and Live Video which you will find in the default camera app after the update installation. AR Doodle is a feature that will allow users to add AR-powered stickers and effects to video for a fun effect and as for Live Video, it offers the ability to add Bokeh effect to videos while they are being shot.

A new and more powerful video editor has also been added so that Galaxy S10 users can edit their videos even when the go. The editor offers functionalities like video trimming, video stitching, playback speed adjustment, add subtitles, and background music among others.

Lastly, Galaxy S10 lineup is now compatible with the new and improved Samsung DeX platform which made its debut made alongside the Galaxy Note 10. This new DeX version will allow using any PC with the Galaxy S10 and that too wirelessly. All you will need to do is to install the latest DeX app on your Windows PC or Mac. It should be noted that the wireless connection works only with Windows 10 PC. If you have a Mac, you will need to use a USB cable to make the connection.
