Samsung started off Android 10 beta testing with Galaxy S10 and Galaxy Note 10 last month. It has now decided to expand the program to include older generation phones. The first one to get featured is the Galaxy Note 9 which is now receiving One UI 2.0 based on Android 10 beta in South Korea.
The exact number of slots available for beta testing is unknown but if you are from South Korea, you should check for the beta program through the Samsung Members app. If there are enough slots available, you should be able to register and become a beta tester. The next step is to wait for the Android 10 beta update to arrive on your Galaxy Note 9 unit.
The update notification usually arrives automatically but you can also check for it manually. It can be done by visiting Settings -> Software Update section on your phone. As for those who reside outside South Korea, Samsung has not revealed when it will release the beta test in global markets.
Lastly, Samsung has revealed that it will release Galaxy S9 Android 10 beta sometime next week. It will also be released first in South Korea followed by global expansion. We will keep you posted as and when the beta release will begin.
