It is a new day which means we have a new Samsung foldable phone leak to talk about. It was recently rumored to be called Galaxy Z Flip and now, the latest leak reveals some of the features. Max Weinbach, an XDA contributor, has tweeted that the Galaxy Z Flip will arrive with a 3,300mAh battery and will have plastic protection for the display.
The tipped battery capacity of the next-gen Samsung clamshell foldable smartphone is undoubtedly on the smaller side, especially when compared with the original Galaxy Fold. Weinbach says that since the device will feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor, the battery life should be equivalent to the standard Galaxy S10. Moreover, the battery is significantly bigger than the 2,510mAh battery available with the Motorola RAZR (2019).
Weinbach mentioned in a separate tweet that Galaxy Z Flip will sport an ultra-thin display panel. It will have plastic layer protection so that the display remains unaffected from scratches. It will help users replace the plastic layer instead of spending a lot on the display panel replacement for heavy scratches.
These are noteworthy features that are rumored to arrive with the next foldable phone from Samsung. It is already rumored to cost less than $1,000 with a possible launch expected at the Galaxy Unpacked event on February 11th. We will keep you posted on all the new developments and rumors.
