There are enough reports surrounding the possible Galaxy Z Flip foldable device, with the recent one even disclosing the hands-on video. That’s true that the alleged Galaxy Z Flip is one of a kind of the foldable phones but it is not the direct successor to the original Galaxy Fold. And, this theory appears to have been proved as well, thanks to the folks over at GalaxyClub.
According to the tech site, it has managed to know that the codename of the next foldable phone which is Winner2 or Win2. This indicates that the device in question is a direct successor of the Galaxy Fold because its codename was “Winner.” So, if the latest tip is to be believed, we would soon learn more about the purported Galaxy Fold 2.
Another reason that makes us less serious for the Galaxy Z Flip to be the successor of the original Galaxy Fold is its form factor that doesn’t just align with the existing design or what could become the essence of the lineup in a couple of years.
The report also mentions that Samsung would launch a separate 5G variant of the Galaxy Fold 2 as well. This suggests the LTE version will be launched in many markets where the 5G penetration is almost negligible.
There are no other details associated with the prescribed theory but looking a little back, you would get to know that something was tipped for the next foldable device from Samsung as well. It was tipped in June 2019 that next Galaxy Fold will come with an 8-inch panel and S Pen support. Since then we haven’t heard anything related to the same, but we do hope to gain more insights. Meanwhile, we make these tips the only available base and wait for the clamshell Galax Z Flip to launch soon.
