Samsung is rumored to be working on a new tablet called the Tab S6 Lite and a leak came in February even showed what the device may end up look like. Fast forward to now, the tech site WinFuture is sharing some specifications as well as a set of renders that if we add up to the last leak, we will have the complete information on the said tablet.
According to the site, the display of the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite features a 10.4-inch LCD panel with a very decent resolution of 2000x1200 pixels. It is an entry-level tablet that features S Pen as well but it can’t be operated by “touch.” The tablet has rounded edges and they are comparatively narrow. According to the report, the tablet weighs 467g and is 7mm in thickness.
The Galaxy Tab S6 Lite is said to be powered by Samsung Exynos 9611, where there are four maximum 1.7GHz faster power cores and four high-end cores with up to 2.3GHz. This is the same processor that powers phones like the Galaxy A51 and the most recent Galaxy Xcover Pro. This processor is equivalent to Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 710 or later. Unlike the recently officially launched Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.4, the S6 Lite already runs Android 10.0.
Furthermore, the leak even suggests the Tab S6 Lite is going to have 4GB RAM and 64GB storage, and there can be models with 128GB storage as well. On the front, the device has a 5MP camera and an 8MP back camera. The tablet is expected to include 7,000mAH battery and power from the USB Type-C connection.
It is unknown when Samsung will launch the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite but looking at the current scenario, the event will be the online-only event.
