Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Tab Active 3 back in 2020 in Europe and Asia and now the same tablet is available for purchase in the US for $489.99. It is the latest ruggedized tablet that has passed several certifications and standards to be viable for use in several situations where sustainability and endurance are the main concerns.
The new Galaxy Tab Active 3 meets MIL-STD-810 military-grade standard. It is IP68 certified which makes the tablet water and dust resistance up to a certain extend. Interestingly, the S Pen is also IP68 certified. According to Samsung, the Galaxy Tab Active 3 has passed tests against 23 environmental conditions, including vibrations and high altitude.
The new Galaxy Tab Active 3 is primarily desired for manufacturing, retail, and job sites. The tablet can be used when wearing gloves as well. It also offers three physical navigation buttons as well as two programmable buttons that can act as shortcuts to certain apps.
The Galaxy Tab Active 3 supports DeX mode so as to offer you a Desktop-like experience. This is the first time that DeX support has landed on Tab Active rugged tablet. You can cast its contents to a larger display and connect peripherals like keyboards. This is also the first Tab Active to support Galaxy Enterprise Edition and Knox Suite for security and other IT software.
