Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 update activates a couple of S Pen features

Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 is getting a new firmware update that brings a new S Pen feature update and also includes the latest March 2021 security patch. The firmware version is T976BXXU1BUBB for the Galaxy Tab S7+ owners in Germany

The update allows for handwriting in more text boxes. The new update now lets you use the S Pen in more areas including address boxes. Also, scanning documents has become a little more convenient as the feature is now easier to reach.

In addition to these new S Pen features, the update also introduces Samsung Free as well as Dolby support in DeX mode. Reportedly, the fingerprint scanner has also been improved. You will be able to download the firmware version by going under the Settings app.

Samsung promised to release the firmware update for the Tab S7 tablet this month only and it has kept its words as well. It is good to see Samsung being early in releasing the very latest security patch for its device.

Galaxy Tab S7 went official in August 2020 with a decent set of specifications and features. It features a 12.4-inch Quad HD+ Super AMOLED display, 120Hz refresh rate, Snapdragon 865+ processor, 8GB RAM, up to 512GB storage. It comes with 13MP+5MP dual camera sensors on the back and has an 8MP on the front. It comes with a 10,090mAh battery with 45W Super Fast Charging support. It equips USB Type-C 3.2 Gen 1 port, AKG/Dolby Atmos supported quad-speaker and in-display fingerprint scanner.
