Samsung apparently has so many new devices up its sleeves and if rumors are to be believed they all might get unveiled somewhere in August this year.
Now, we are hearing about new tablets from its premium Tab S-series. According to a report from South Korea’s Naver.com, Samsung has three new tablets in its pipeline. Unlike the last year’s Tab S7 series, the upcoming Galaxy Tab S8 series is expected to feature three tablets – Tab S8, Tab S8+, and Tab S8 Ultra. The report points out the latter two will feature OLED panels, while the vanilla Galaxy Tab S8 will have an LTPS TFT display.
The report even divulges key specifications and price tags of these three tablets. Starting with the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra, the report claims this tablet has a whopping 14.6-inch display size and it features a 120Hz refresh rate as well. It could be made available in 8GB+128GB and 12GB+512GB of RAM and storage configurations.
The report further claims the Tab S8 Ultra might feature a dual rear camera setup that includes a 13MP primary sensor and a 5MP secondary sensor. On the front, you can get 8MP+5MP sensors. It could pack a big 12,000mAh battery with support for 45W fast charging. The price tags of the WiFi, LTE, and 5G variants may cost - KRW 1,469,000 (~$1,319), KRW 1,569,000 (~$1,408), and KRW 1,669,000 (~$1,498).
The Galaxy Tab S8+ tablet, on the other hand, is tipped to feature a 12.4-inch OLED display. It will, however, also feature a 120Hz refresh rate. It could come in 8GB RAM and 128GB/256GB storage configurations. The Galaxy S8+ is expected to get the same rear camera setup, but the front might not feature a 5MP ultra-wide sensor. It is said to be packed with a 10,090mAh battery, which is comparatively smaller than the one in the Ultra model. However, it is still pretty big. The price tags of the WiFi, LTE, and 5G models of the Galaxy Tab S8+ are - KRW 1,149,000 (~$1,031), KRW 1,249,000 (~$81,121), and KRW 1,349,000 (~$1,211), respectively.
Coming to the Galaxy Tab S8, which according to the leaked prices is the cheapest among all is priced at KRW 829,000 (~$744) for the WiFi model, KRW 929,000 (~$834) for the LTE, and KRW 1,029,000 (~$924) for the 5G model respectively.
Talking about its specifications, the Tab S8 gets an 11-inch LTPS TFT display. Just like its two premium siblings, the Tab S8 also gets a 120Hz refresh rate. The rear and the front camera setups are the same as the Tab S8+. It packs an 8,000mAh battery.
While the report reveals just everything about these tablets, it does not tell about their launch or availability. It is, however, expected that the new tablets will launch in August just like the last year’s models. Also, it is currently unknown how these new tablets look like.
