Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 series One UI 3.1.1 update starts rolling out

20 September 2021 0

Samsung has started rolling out One UI 3.1.1 update for the Galaxy Tab S7 series. It is the newest version of the custom Android skin that was first released for Galaxy foldables last month. It is currently reported to have become available for the Galaxy Tab S7+ 5G but will also expand to other models in the lineup.

The update size is said to be around 1.4GB which makes it quite hefty. It is recommended that users connect to a WiFi network before starting the download process. The next step will be the installation but one should ensure that the tab has either 50% of battery left or is plugged into a power source.

It is an over the air aka OTA update. All Galaxy Tab S7 users should get an update notification as and when it becomes available. One can also check for it manually by visiting the system settings. If you are not seeing the update notification already, just be patient and it should become available anytime soon.

As for what new features you will get with One UI 3.1.1 on the Galaxy Tab S7 series, here is an overview:

  • Three-split view function
  • Adjust width and height of individual apps' windows
  • Split-screen by dragging
  • Pin apps to the bottom dock for faster access
