Samsung Russia has listed the Galaxy Ta A7 Lite Kids Edition tablet on its official website. As the name suggests, it is a kids-oriented model of the Galaxy Tab A7 Lite tablet that went official earlier this year. The new version is a result of a collaboration with Smeshariki, a Russian children's brand.
The tablet features a completely new user interface that has been designed by keeping children in mind. It comes pre-loaded with a bunch of educational applications and games. Samsung has partnered with different brands like Lego TV, Brio World, Toca Boca games, Kikoriki, and Pettson's Inventions to provide entertaining stuff for kids.
It comes bundled with an anti-drop stand case so that parents can be assured about the tablet even when kids end up dropping it. There are also parental controls to control what content their kids can access and for how long. It further has a digital assistant named Marusia (a teddy bear) which can tell kids a story, play music, and play a game.
Other than this, it has the same specifications as the standard Galaxy Tab A7 Lite:
- 8.7-inch TFT display with 1340x800 pixels resolution
- MediaTek Helio octa-core processor
- 3GB/4GB RAM
- 32GB/64GB storage, expandable up to 1TB using microSD
- 8MP rear camera
- 2MP front camera
- Android 11
- 5,100mAH battery
- Type C USB 2.0, 3.5mm headphone jack, LTE, Bluetooth v5.0
Samsung has priced the Galaxy Tab A7 Lite Kids Edition at RUB 14,990 (about $205) in Russia. It will be sold via online as offline stores around the country.
