Samsung Group had made a news headlines by establishing relationship with German automakers like Mercedes-Benz and BMW, to widen its opportunities in the smart car market.
Now Mercedes-Benz will install the Samsung Gear VR and Gear 360 Camera in main exhibition and also offer virtual test driving environment. Mercedes will be releasing the smart car in this summer. However, the company has already confirmed about its association with Samsung on infotainment.
BMW announced its partnership with Samsung and revealed that it will release the 2017 i3 electric car with an increase in the driving range from 132 km/charge to 183km/charge having Samsung SDI’s battery. The company further states that 2017 i3 has the lithium-ion battery that helps to improve the capacity by 50%. BMW is already using Samsung-made tablets for the new 7 series.
Samsung has also teamed up with Audi and supplying it with 20-nano LPDDR4 D-RAM and 10-nano eMMC products for Audi vehicles.
