Samsung Galaxy Note 6 may come with an iris scanner

21 May 2016 0

There has been long discussions and rumours that Samsung will introduce iris scanner for their Galaxy Note 6. But iris scanner has never come up in any of the Samsung smartphones till now. The expectation has now got more as the company has filed 2 trademarks registration in the European Union that suggests that the iris scanner may come sooner in their flagship device Samsung Galaxy Note 6.

The company has filed trademark registrations for "Samsung Iris" and "Samsung Eyeprint" in the European Union. The iris scanner will provide an additional security for your device and can be used for easy unlocking as well. There has been no information about the Galaxy Note 6 yet and is expected to be launched by August.

There has not been any information that the company will feature iris scanner in the device but is expected as based on the trademark registration which was filed recently. If the company can introduce the feature in the near future it would be great and it will also encourage other companies to implement the same feature in their devices as well.
