Korean tech giant Samsung has announced that they would be releasing kitchen appliances compatible with Samsung SmartThing Hub to take home automation to the next level. Appliances like wall ovens, cooktops, and range hoods that would feature Wi-Fi and Bluetooth to connect with other devices. Soon, Samsung's SmartThings will get the support of Google's recently launched Google Home, though there is no specific date when the Samsung's devices will get this charm.
The devices aren’t cheap and cost more than a thousand bugs easily. Like the cooktops starts around $1,100 while a double wall oven costs $4,000. The newly announced devices will feature a range hood, gas, and induction electric cooktops followed by double and single wall ovens.
Interestingly, the lights and exhaust fan in range hood featuring Bluetooth would be automatically triggered when someone starts cooking on a cooktop.
Another option to go with is a Samsung’s Family Hub refrigerator which costs $5600. It features a huge 21.5-inch touchscreen that can be used to control the appliance and can also be used to order groceries and more.
With the passage of time, as more smart devices are added to Samsung SmartHub’s platform, intelligent devices like Google Home would be making the most out of them to make our lives easier and fun to live.
