Nokia 6.1 Plus recently receives the August security patch. This update was quite important as it was the first update HMD global rolled out for the Nokia 6.1 Plus. The latest update changelog suggests it brings August security patch and improvements for system stability, however, it seems like the latest update brings few issues.
Few owners of Nokia 6.1 Plus are complaining the update removes the 'hide the notch' option from settings. Before the update, the users were able to hide the notch since the latest update the option isn't showing in the settings menu and users is unable to hide the notch.

The Nokia 6.1 Plus is featuring a notch at the top of the display like the iPhone X, however, the company provides an option to remove it with a black bar because not everyone likes the notch. As per latest reports, since the removal of the option, the Nokia fans are not happy.
At the moment it is still in the dark whether HMD deliberately removed the option from the settings or its a mistake and also whether the issues are limited to few customers or everyone who updated have this issue. If you own the Nokia 6.1 Plus and receives the update, you can download it if you don't have an issue with the notch or you can wait for the next update until HMD resolves the issue.
In terms of specs, the Nokia 6.1 Plus is featuring a 5.8-inches TFT display with Full HD+ screen resolution of 1080 x 2280 pixels. The display aspect ratio is 19:9 and the Corning Gorilla Glass 3 is protecting the display. The Qualcomm's Snapdragon 636 SoC is powering the device with 4GB RAM and built-in native storage is 64GB. It supports memory expansion via MicroSD up to 400GB.
Like most of the latest devices, the Nokia 6.1 Plus has dual sensors on the rear side. The primary camera is 16MP with f/2.0 aperture whereas the secondary sensor is 5MP. Up front the selfie camera is 16MP. As OS the device is pre-installed with stock Android Oreo 8.1 and it will be amongst the first Nokia smartphones to receive Android Pie. A 3,060mAh battery cell is on board to keep its lights on.
