Sony starts rolling Android Pie for the Xperia XZ2 Premium

17 November 2018 3

Finally, the wait is over for the Xperia XZ2 Premium owners, the company is now rolling the latest Android Pie update. Last month soon Sony confirmed the arrival of the latest Android Pie update for three premium phones by the end of October including Xperia XZ1, Xperia XZ Premium, and XZ Compact and also confirmed Pie update will be rolled out for the Xperia XZ2 Premium owners in November.

Although the company delayed the release of Android Pie for the aforementioned phones till November, however, the good thing is Xperia XZ2 Premium owners are now receiving the Android Pie update as promised. The latest update brings the latest November 1st security patch which brings resistance against the latest threats as well few improvements to the camera UI.

We can't confirm whether Sony brings the new camera UI goodies for its dual rear cameras or not because the company didn't share changelog of the Xperia XZ2 Premium update. If you are amongst those lucky users who already received the update, feel free to share any new exclusive changes with fellow readers in the comments section below. Stay tuned.

The ability of providing an enhancement like the AI camera feature just by an update gives the current users the flexibility of using the feature in their present device too. Cool!
