Any piece of hardware is only as good as the software allows it to perform. HMD Global joins the rest of the smartphone manufacturers in releasing the latest Android security patch. HMD Global has recently released software updates for quite a few of its smartphones. The main highlight of the updates is that its updates the devices to the November 2018 security patch. Among the list of devices which have been updated, the Nokia 6.1 Plus also finds its spot.
The Nokia 6.1 Plus has received the updated in an OTA file size of just 82.75MB. this is because the update mainly brings with it the November 2018 security patch. Unfortunately, no new features have been added with this update. Along with the Nokia 6.1 Plus, the Nokia 8 and Nokia 8 Sirocco have also received an update with the latest security patch.
Updating your device is pretty simple since the update is available through OTA. If you haven’t received the update as of yet, make sure to navigate to the settings menu and the to check under the About phone options. Under this is the software update option. If an update is available, users will be prompted to download and install it. The downloading and installation process are automatic and doesn’t require any intervention by the user.

An update file having only around 80MB cannot have more than the routine updating. Still, you have to have it.
