Samsung rolling out Android Pie update to Galaxy S8 users

A few days back, Samsung begins rolling out Android Pie based One UI update for Galaxy Note 8 users around the globe and now Galaxy S8 is receiving the package sized 1,610 MB in size with version number G950FXXU4DSBA/G950FOXM4DSBA that is the major update to the device after a long time. The update has built-in security patch for February 2019 and offers with “exciting new features and a whole new look and feel, based on feedback from users”.


In case your device hasn’t yet received the update yet, you could wait for the notification to hit your device soon, being the global version SM-G950F. Previously, the update rolled out for Galaxy Note 8 in countries like Bulgaria and Slovakia and soon have begun to reach other parts of the world.

Users who previously rolled in for the public beta program of the update would be receiving it first on priority and then would be released to the general public and Galaxy S8 users. Earlier, Samsung did announce the update schedule for the Chinese market and now it has begun rolling out globally in different regions.
