The Realme 2 Pro was launched late last year and proved to be a significant contender in the mid-range smartphone market. Since then, the device was updated to ColorOS 5.2. Well, the wait is finally over as the company has released the stable Android Pie update for its Realme 2 Pro. This was expected as the company had rolled out a beta update quite recently. Realme 2 Pro users will be happy to know that their devices will be updated to ColorOS 6, based on Android Pie.
The update is currently rolling out and bears the build number RMX1801EX_11_A.20. The update is also packed with the Android May security patch. The update to ColorOS 6 is 2.7GB in size. The update is being rolled out in waves but if one is impatient, one can download the update file from the company’s official website. Apart from the update bringing the new Android Pie features and changes to the interface, it also includes changes to apps and the camera. The new and update camera brings with it Chroma Boost Mode and HAL3 support.
Most changes which the update brings with it are changes to the system as well as the UI. Some new additions to look forward to are the lock screen magazine, app drawer, notification icons in status bar and live wallpapers. It seems like this new update will instil a breath of fresh air into the user experience of the Realme 2 Pro.
