Amazon India has started selling its newest Fire TV Stick 4K in the country. It was announced globally last month as an improved version of the standard Fire TV Stick which is also being sold side-by-side. The biggest addition to the newest variant is support for 4K content so that users can stream their favorite shows and movies in even better quality.
It means if you have a 4K TV and a valid subscription to any of the major streaming services like Netflix and Prime Video, you should be able to stream 4K content with ease. Additionally, the new Fire TV Stick 4K also supports Dolby Vision and HDR10+ technologies for a better dynamic range. But again, you will need a TV which supports any of these two technologies to actually take advantage of them.
Other than this, there is a new Alexa-powered remote control that comes with the Fire TV Stick 4K. It means a user can make use of Alexa voice commands to search and play content while also using it for other purposes like weather, live sports score, traffic update, recipes, and more. In terms of technical specifications, it now has a 1.7GHz quad-core processor, 8GB internal storage, Bluetooth 5.0, HDMI output port, and WiFi connectivity support.
The all-new Fire TV Stick 4K is priced at Rs. 5,999 with sales exclusively via Amazon India. But if you already own the standard Fire TV Stick but want to buy the new remote, you can get it separately for Rs. 1,999.
