Vivo shares Funtouch OS 9 public beta eligible devices list and timeline

It has been about a month since Vivo released Funtouch OS 9.0 as the latest iteration of its custom skin. It was released along with the launch of the Vivo X27 series. It means other Vivo fans are eagerly waiting for the new software update and now, Vivo has finally shared some details regarding the update rollout.

As per the announcement, Vivo has plans to update most of its smartphones to the newest software. The Vivo X21i, Vivo Z1, Vivo Z1i, Vivo X23, and Vivo X23 Symphony Edition are the models that are already running the Funtouch OS 9.0 public beta. In the next phase, Vivo will be upgrading Vivo X21, Vivo X21 UD, Vivo X21s, Vivo NEX A, Vivo NEX S, Vivo NEX Dual Screen Edition, and the Vivo Z3i. The second phase is scheduled to get underway sometime in June this year. Lastly, the Vivo Z23 will be receiving the update in July 2019.

With Funtouch OS 9, Vivo has added a number of noteworthy features including a total of 72 features and about 55 under the hood improvements. There are also some tweaks that have been made to the visual appearance. Some of the major features include Always-On display, revamped UX, and dark mode.
