UPDATE (March 12th, 2020):

Juho Sarvikas, Chief Product Officer for HMD Global, has shared a revised Android 10 rollout roadmap for Nokia smartphones. He tweeted that changes had to be made to the original roadmap because of Coronavirus but the team is still committed to delivering updates faster.

Original (August 23rd, 2019)

HMD Global is one of the most reliable ones in the Android ecosystem when it comes to releasing timely software updates, be it monthly ones or major upgrades. Its track record of releasing the last two Android upgrades has been impressive and now, it is taking the same to the next level. HMD Global has now released Android 10 upgrade roadmap for Nokia smartphones and interestingly, it includes most of the devices.

As per the official tweet, HMD Global will start rolling out Android 10 from Q4 2019 and is hoping to cover all devices by Q2 2020. It will be updating most of the Nokia phones in a total of five phases. The first phase includes Nokia 7.1, Nokia 8.1, and Nokia 9 PureView which will kick-off in Q4 2019 i.e. between October to December 2019.

The next three phases will be covered in Q1 2020 which is from January to March 2020. This quarter will see Nokia 6.1, Nokia 6.1 Plus, and Nokia 7 Plus getting updated first. It will be followed by Nokia 2.2, Nokia 3.1 Plus, Nokia 3.2, and Nokia 4.2. The quarter will end with updating Nokia 1 Plus, Nokia 5.1 Plus, and Nokia 8 Sirocco.

Lastly, HMD Global will release Android 10 for Nokia 2.1, Nokia 3.1, Nokia 5.1, and Nokia 1 in Q2 2020. It means all Nokia users should be running the latest Android versions by June 2020 if everything goes as per the plan. The good thing is that the team has covered almost all the Nokia models including the oldest ones. This is undoubtedly a rare sight to see from Android OEMs.
