Realme is all set to make its debut at the annual Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona. It has announced that its MWC keynote will be held on February 24th i.e. the first day of the event. The keynote is titled "Speed of the future: Realme 5G launch event" giving us an idea of what to expect from the company.
As of now, Realme has only one 5G smartphone named Realme X50 5G. It was unveiled at an event in China earlier this month and is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G chipset. This suggests that we will be seeing the global launch of the smartphone which is currently limited to the Chinese market. One can speculate that maybe Realme will unveil a Snapdragon 865-powered 5G flagship smartphone. The possibility of the same looks very unlikely.
To give you a quick overview, the Realme X50 5G sports a 6.57-inch Full HD+ (2400 x 1080 pixels) IPS LCD display with a high 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, it comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G paired with up to 12GB of RAM. The exact configuration variants are 6GB RAM with 256GB storage, 8GB RAM with 128GB storage, and 12GB RAM with 256GB storage.
The quad rear camera setup includes a 64-megapixel Samsung ISOCELL GW1 sensor, an 8-megapixel wide-angle sensor, a 12-megapixel telephoto sensor, and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. it also has a dual selfie camera with a 16-megapixel Sony IMX471 main sensor and an 8-megapixel wide-angle sensor. It is backed by a 4,200mAh battery with 30W VOOC 4.0 fast charging and will run ColorOS 7 based on Android 10 out of the box.
