Even though a number of major tech brands have decided to skip MWC 2020, there are still many brands ready to take the stage and make new announcements. One such brand is Nubia which has confirmed that it will unveil a new Red Magic 5G smartphone and a bunch of smart home products at MWC 2020 in Barcelona.
Starting with the Nubia Red Magic 5G, it is a smartphone that has appeared in leaks and rumors for a number of times. It is said to arrive with a 144Hz display panel which will make it the first smartphone with such a high refresh rate. Nubia has already started to tease the smartphone display as "Faster than fast" which is a jibe at phones with 90Hz and 120Hz display phones.
It will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM. It will have a triple rear camera setup including a 64-megapixel primary shooter. It will undoubtedly an Android flagship but the focus will be on the gaming performance of the smartphone. This is because Red Magic is a brand focused on releasing gaming smartphones.
Nubia will also unveil a few smart home products at the same keynote. It is unknown what products these will include but at least one is expected to be a WiFi router. There is still a couple of weeks' time for MWC and if there are any new developments, we will keep you updated.
