Realme CEO Madhav Sheth has officially announced that Realme X50 Pro 5G will be unveiled on February 24th at an event to be held in New Delhi, India. It was previously set for MWC 2020 launch but since the annual tech show has been canceled for this year, the launch has been moved to India while keeping the launch date unchanged.

Sheth made the announcement in the form of a tweet where he said, "India's first 5G smartphone is here!". It is clear that Realme is all set to beat iQOO at releasing the first 5G phone in India. The Vivo sub-brand has scheduled its launch event for February 25th where it will announce the iQOO 3. It is worth noting that iQOO will operate as an independent entity in the country.

The Realme X50 Pro 5G will be the second 5G smartphone as Realme's has already released Realme X50 5G. The only difference is that the phone is currently limited to the Chinese market. Since the company is busy creating buzz around the smartphone launch, it has already revealed a number of key specifications and features.

As per the official teasers, the Realme X50 Pro 5G will feature Qualcomm's Snapdragon 865 processor coupled with 12GB of RAM. It will offer 256GB of onboard storage and run Realme UI based on Android 10. It will have a total of six cameras that will include quad rear cameras and dual selfie cameras. The rear camera module will also offer 20X digital zoom. It will sport a 90Hz Super AMOLED display and 65W SuperDart fast charging technology.
