OnePlus' is currently busy working on the OnePlus 8 series where it is expected to announce three different models for the first time. These are rumored to be the usual OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro along with a new offering called OnePlus 8 Lite. There are already a few reports about them a new report from a Spanish publication ProAndroid has revealed detailed specifications for all the three models.
The detailed spec-sheet is based on the listing spotted at Giztop, an online shopping platform. It is not exactly a trustworthy source but we will list those specifications to give you an idea of what to expect.
The OnePlus 8 Pro is listed with a 6.5-inch Quad HD+ (3180 x 1440 pixels) AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, it will have the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor paired with 8GB and 12GB of RAM. The storage options will include 128GB and 256GB with UFS 3.0 storage standard.
The quad-camera setup is said to include a 60-megapixel main camera, a 16-megapixel wide-angle camera, a 13-megapixel telephoto sensor, and a 3D ToF sensor. It will have a 32-megapixel Samsung ISOCELL GD1 sensor as the front camera. The whole package will be powered by a 4,500mAh battery with 50W fast charging support. It will run OxygenOS based on Android 10 out of the box. The listed OnePlus 8 Pro pricing is $799 which is for the base model.
The OnePlus 8 is shown to have the same 6.5-inch AMOLED display but with a lower Full HD+ (2400 x 1080 pixels) resolution and 90Hz refresh rate. The choice of processor and storage options are also the same as the Pro model but with an additional 6GB RAM variant.
The selfie camera is also unchanged but the back panel is shown with only triple cameras: 48-megapixel main sensor, 16-megapixel wide-angle sensor, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The battery capacity is reported to be 4,000mAh and only 30W fast charging support. On the software front, it will also have OxygenOS based on Android 10. Interestingly, the OnePlus 8 base variant is listed for $549 which is a huge difference as compared to the Pro model.
The OnePlus 8 Lite will be making its debut as a cheaper alternative for those who can't afford to or don't want to spend on the actual flagships. It will have a 6.4-inch Full HD+ (2400 x 1080 pixels) AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate. The choice of processor will be MediaTek Dimensity 1000 to bring the cost down. It will be available with 8GB of RAM and 128GB/256GB UFS 3.0 storage options.
It will have the same triple camera setup as the standard OnePlus 8 but only a 16-megapixel Sony IMX471 front camera. Other features will also be the same that include 4,000mAh battery 30W fast charging and OxygenOS based on Android 10. The OnePlus 8 Lite pricing is tipped to be $499 which only slightly lower.
