WarnerMedia made an announcement that it has reached an agreement with Google that allows it to bring the HBO and HBO Max Google’s streaming TV subscription service. YouTube TV offers a pool of prestigious networks like Fox Soccer Plus, NBA Pass, STARZ, Showtime, and more but there still remains a few which haven’t yet made their presence on YouTube TV. But with this new agreement, we will, at least, see a few coming onboard.
Now, after the agreement, YouTube TV will include HBO, Cinemax, HBO Max to its streaming service. Warner Media announced that it expects both linear and on-demand HBO and Cinemax content to debut on YouTube TV this spring.
The distribution agreement will also allow YouTube TV to continue to carry the WarnerMedia networks TBS, TNT, truTV, CNN, HLN, Turner Classic Movies, Adult Swim, and Cartoon Network, which have already been available to YouTube TV since 2018.
The HBO television network features an extensive array of shows, including Big Little Lies, Watchmen, Last Week Tonight with John Oliver, The Outsider, comedy series Barry, Insecure and Curb Your Enthusiasm, and more.
Rich Warren, president of WarnerMedia Distribution, in a statement,
As consumers’ media consumption habits continually evolve and the landscape becomes more and more dynamic, our goal remains constant, and that is to make the portfolio of WarnerMedia networks available as widely as possible.
