21 February 2020 0

The deadliest Coronavirus has taken a lot of lives and affected the businesses in the country, specifically those which have their roots around the epicenter of this disease. In the tech world, we have learned about several key events, including the MWC getting canceled. Also, a lot of independent special events from the brands have been canceled due to the fear of Coronavirus. And, the latest one to name is reportedly OnePlus which allegedly has canceled its plan of launching the OnePlus 8 at a special event.

A Weibo user and reliable source familiar with the plans of OnePlus have reported that OnePlus is canceling the OnePlus 8 physical event and it will rather arrange an online-only event. OnePlus, generally launches its first phone of the new year sometime in spring, with a launch event somewhere in the world.

If the sources are to be believed, this would be the first time for OnePlus to hold an entirely online-only event for its upcoming smartphone.

OnePlus 8 is grabbing headlines for all good reasons. For the first time, OnePlus may bring the wireless charging support and the IP68 rating to the OnePlus 8 which would make it dust and water-resistant. The OnePlus 8 Pro is expected to feature the 50W fast charging, while the OnePlus 8 could come with 30W fast-charging support. Also, the OnePlus 8 Pro could come with the 120Hz and the OnePlus with the now-standard 90Hz screen. The OnePlus Pro is going to have a quad-camera setup and the OnePlus 8 could come with the triple rear cameras.

The OnePlus 8 isn't still available. To be notified when it becomse available click here.
