Realme fitness band coming March 5th, Realme TV in Q2 2020

In a short span of time, Realme has made a good name for itself in the smartphone market. It has become one of the arch-rivals for Xiaomi's Redmi as it keeps on releasing value for money phones spread across different price categories. It is now focused on expanding beyond smartphones and become what it likes to refer to as a lifestyle brand. It has released a couple of products as part of that goal with many more in the pipeline.

At today's launch event of Realme X50 Pro 5G smartphone, Realme CEO Madhav Sheth teased a few of these upcoming products while also mentioning the tentative release timeline for a few. He said that these products will be divided into two categories: Personal and Home. The first one has two sub-categories Audio and Wearables.


Realme currently offers basic earphones and truly wireless earphones Realme Buds Air in the audio category. It will refresh the lineup by announcing active noise-cancellation earphones in the future. As for wearables, it has plans to unveil smartwatches as well as fitness bands. The first announcement will be a Realme fitness band that will be unveiled on March 5th i.e. next week.

In the Home category, it will mainly be focusing on IoT products that will offer internet capabilities. These will include smart screens, smart speakers, soundbars, and smart home appliances. It will make its debut in the IoT segment by announcing its first smart TV called Realme TV in Q2 2020. It said that the Indian launch will be its first release and it will be "customized for India".
