Huawei has refreshed its MateBook X Pro laptop lineup for 2020 and expanded the MateBook D series availability globally. The former is identical to its predecessors in terms of appearance but differs when it comes to hardware specifications. As for the second, it is exactly the same thing that was unveiled in China last year. Let's cover these new 2020 products one by one.
The biggest and only change in the MateBook X Pro (2020) is the inclusion of Intel's latest Comet Lake generation processors. It is available with the option of choosing between Core i5-10510U and Core i7-10710U chipsets. Both of these were manufactured using the 14nm++ process and offer a base frequency of 1.8GHz. All other specifications are unchanged which include:
It will go on sale in Europe, Asia Pacific, Russia, Japan, the Middle East, and Latin America starting in April 2020. And yes, there is also a new Green color option in addition to existing Mystic Silver and Space Grey.
As mentioned in the beginning, the MateBook D 15 and MateBook D 14 notebooks have now been expanded to western markets. These bring no changes in hardware specifications from the Chinese variant. Huawei said that the 14-inch model will cost EUR 699 for the base Ryzen model and EUR 949 for the base Intel model. The latter also offers NVIDIA GeForce MX250 GPU which is the main reason for such a major price difference.
