UPDATE (March 18th, 2020):
Redmi has announced that Redmi K30 Pro is now the official Fast and Furious 9 movie partner in China. It released a poster to showcase the collaboration where the top part shows the movie poster featuring six main characters. The same poster further reveals the Redmi K30 Pro launch date which is March 24th. It is in line with previous leaks and is just six days away from today.
UPDATE (March 12th, 2020):
Redmi is taking its sweet time to reveal when it would be announcing the Redmi K30 Pro but we do have a slightly better idea now. Lu Weibing, General Manager of Redmi, has posted on Weibo that the launch event will be held in between the Huawei P40 series and Honor 30 series launch events. This is an indirect indication that the Redmi K30 Pro will be unveiled some time during March-end i.e. in the next couple of weeks.
Original (February 25th, 2020)
Redmi K30 Pro 5G will go official in March and the revelation has been made via an official poster shared by the company itself on Weibo. The poster doesn’t mention the date but it is good to note that the launch is happening as early as next month. The official revelation goes in line with what was tipped in December last year by the tipster Sudhanshu Ambhore on Twitter.
The poster doesn’t mention anything else explicitly but the outline of the device is enough to tell that Redmi K30 Pro 5G has no notch and even hole-punch. It’s a full bezel-less smartphone and maybe carrying a pop-up camera instead, similar to the Redmi K20.
Interestingly, there is one more official poster that shows the device is going to be powered by Snapdragon 865 processor with 5G support.
Nothing else is given by the company yet but there have been enough leaks to tell you what specifications and features the Redmi K30 Pro 5G can have. The device is expected to carry an FHD+ AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate. It may carry an in-display fingerprint scanner, LPDDR5 RAM, 4700mAH battery with 40W fast-charging support. Interesting to some is the 3.5mm headphone jack.
The Redmi K30 Pro is expected to come with quad rear cameras and an improved front-facing camera. While the company hasn’t disclosed the launch event date, it has managed to curb the curiosity of the followers by announcing the launch month, at least.
