Alleged leaked video shows Surface Duo 'peek' feature

27 February 2020 0

The Surface Duo is one of the two foldable devices Microsoft is currently working on. It is an Android-powered foldable device that aims to be your mobile phone as well as tablet. Some of its functionalities were demonstrated about two weeks ago and now, there is a new leak video clip showing one more unique feature of the device.

The alleged video has been shared by a Twitter tipster Walking Cat (@h0x0d). It shows a Surface Duo feature referred to as 'peek' and it works exactly as the name suggests. It meant to help users check app notifications and alerts without unfolding the device completely. The folding cover needs to be lifted slightly and all the notifications will become visible on the right-hand side portion of the display.

The good thing is that users will also be able to interact with these notifications in the "peek" mode. It will eliminate the need for unfolding the device, checking notifications, and then performing an appropriate action. The feature will also work for incoming call notification where peek mode will show the caller's name/number along with options to receive/reject the call.

There is no doubt that Microsoft Surface Duo has the potential to be an interesting device. It could be one of the popular foldable devices in the market as and when it will go on sale. In the meantime, we will keep you updated about all the latest developments surrounding the phone.
