LG has officially unveiled its newest Android flagship LG V60 ThinQ 5G in Seoul, South Korea. It has continued with the Dual Display accessory that it has been offering with the past few flagship releases. The newest model is said to have an improved version of the same along with other changes like 5G connectivity, better camera performance, and a bigger battery.
The LG V60 ThinQ 5G sports a 6.8-inch Full HD+ (2460 x 1080 pixels) P-OLED FullVision primary display. It has a dotted notch like the LG V50S ThinQ and offers a 20.5:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, it has the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor with Snapdragon X55 5G modem. There is 8GB of RAM available with 128GB and 256GB onboard storage options.
The triple camera setup includes a 64-megapixel main camera (f/1.8 aperture) paired with a 13-megapixel Super Wide sensor (f/1.9 aperture, 117-degree FoV). The third camera sensor is essentially a Time of Flight (ToF) sensor which LG is referring to as Z camera. It is capable of 8K video recording with HDR10+ support. The selfie camera is a 10-megapixel sensor with f/1.9 aperture and is housed within the notch.
The whole package is powered by a 5,000mAh battery with Quick Charge 4+ and wireless charging support. It will run the latest Android 10 out of the box as the operating system. It has an in-display fingerprint scanner, 32-bit Hi-Fi Quad DAC, MIL-STD-810G certification, IP68 water and dust resistance, and LG 3D Sound engine.
As for the Dual Display, it adds a second 6.8-inch Full HD+ (2460 x 1080 pixels) P-OLED display to the smartphone. There is also a 2.1-inch mono cover display that will be visible when the phone is covered with the accessory. It has a USB Type-C port for connection purposes and is available in Black and White color options.
LG has not revealed LG V60 ThinQ 5G pricing but it is confirmed to go on sale in North America, Europe, and Asia starting next month in Classy Blue and Classy White colors. We will update this article as and when LG will unveil pricing details.
