Redmi Note 9 series India launch confirmed for March 12

02 March 2020 0

Redmi India is all set for announcing a new Redmi Note series smartphone. It has tweeted that Redmi Note 9 series will be made official at an event on March 12th in India. The event will mark the global debut of the series that will be a direct successor to the currently available Redmi Note 8 series.

The official launch poster confirms that the Redmi Note 9 series will feature a quad-camera setup. It is a square-shaped camera module that we have seen in various other smartphones. The promotional tag line for the lineup is #ProCamerasMaxPerformance suggesting that Redmi will specifically focus on the camera quality and hardware performance at the keynote.

In a separate tweet from Manu Kumar Jain, Xiaomi India's Managing Director, he has posted a photo of himself along with a bunch of Redmi smartphones lying around. It mentions, "Legend says that it takes only 9 secs to spot the 9 in this photo!". Since we know the Redmi Note 9 will have quad cameras, there is only one smartphone in the pic that fits the bill. It is the one that is placed upside down on the table and is covered by a newspaper. It is simply none of the other phones feature a square-shaped quad-camera module on the back.

Additionally, Xiaomi's official website has a dedicated teaser page for the Redmi Note 9 launch. It hints at four distinctive features of the series that have been referred to as Beast Camera, Beast Design, Beast Processor, Beast Gaming, and Beast Charging. We do not know any other information about the upcoming phones but considering Redmi Note's track record, these new phones should also cost under Rs. 20,000.

The Redmi Note 9 isn't still available. To be notified when it becomse available click here.
