OnePlus has made available its File Manager app on the Play Store for quick installation and future updates. Although the file explorer comes preinstalled on the OnePlus phones, there wasn’t any "faster" way to update it manually. Now, it is about to change. OnePlus phones can head over to Play Store and look for the app to update or if you have automatic update settings enabled then the app will get updated on its own.
And in case you like updating apps manually then simply update it from the link provided below.
Previously, the only way to update the File Manager app on OnePlus phones was to either wait patiently and get it automatically updated or manually download the new version from APK Mirror.
Note that the description page of File Manager on Play Store shows screenshots from an older version of the app, which is, of course, a mistake. Also, the app is titled "Early Access" as well, but note that the app has been available with the OnePlus phones for years now and there shouldn't be any problem associated.
Just like any other file explorer, OnePlus’ File Manager also lets its users browse, manage local files by type or storage hierarchy. OnePlus File Manager is segmented into three parts – Categories, Storage, and FileDash. The Categories option lets you browse through different sections of storage like Documents, Downloads, Recent, Images, Videos, and Audio. You can also see your Archives, Favorites, or Large files, and filter images smaller than 30KB through Settings. In the Storage section, you can get an insight into the total storage consumed by media and what is left to you. And, the FileDash aims to quickly share files with nearby devices.
