Disney Plus aka Disney+ streaming service is now rolling out in India and is accessible via Hotstar streaming platform. The release was originally expected to happen on March 29th but for some reason, it has arrived about three weeks earlier. The new service is being made available through a new Hotstar app update for Android and iOS devices. The web version is available through the official Hotstar website in India.
Starting with the app update, it brings a new app logo, splash screen, and revamped color scheme to emphasize the change. The new logo and splash screen read "Disney+ Hotstar" to reflect the integration. Similar texts can also be seen within the app which is to ensure that users are aware of the new addition. The Android app even has a new section called Disney+ which shows all the newly added content through the integration.
The service includes all the original content from Disney with titles like The Mandalorian, Marvel's Hero Project, Diary of a Future President, Disney's Family Sundays, Lamp Life, and Lady and the Tramp. There will also be well-known titles like Cars 3, A Bug's Life, Captain America: Civil War, and Doctor Strange.
Hotstar was expected to increase subscription prices after Disney+ integration but as of now, there have been no such changes in plans. We will update the story if Hotstar announces any kind of plan changes in the future.
