Last week, Realme took wraps off the Realme 6 series with two new smartphones: Realme 6 and Realme 6 Pro. It is now ready to add a new member to the family next week. This new smartphone will be Realme 6i that will be a budget segment release. It will be a direct successor to last year's Realme 5i and will go official on March 17th.
The Realme 6i is officially confirmed to be the world's first smartphone with MediaTek Helio G80 processor. It is the newest gaming chipset from MediaTek and is aimed at budget smartphones. It was unveiled last month with the goal of delivering better and smoother gaming experience even on entry-level devices. The real-world gaming performance of the processor is surely something worth looking forward to.
The smartphone will have a 48-megapixel AI quad-camera setup. A leaked image suggests that it will be vertically-aligned. Realme has not revealed details about the other three camera sensors but we can expect them to be telephoto, depth, and macro offerings. Lastly, it is confirmed to offer 18W Quick Charge via the USB Type-C port but no words on the battery capacity.
The upcoming Realme 6i is turning out to be a good upgrade over the Realme 5i. We are only four days away from the launch but we will not be surprised if, in the meantime, Realme decides to reveal some more features.
