Oppo launched the Reno 3 in 5G variant back in December last year in China and now the company has unveiled its 4G variant as well. It is currently unknown when the 4G variant will come to the other markets, but it is likely that it may happen soon. The major difference between the Reno 3 5G model and the 4G model is the processor, after of course the major connectivity option difference.
The Reno 3 launched with MediaTek Dimensity 1000L 5G SoC and the Reno 3 4G is powered by MediaTek Helio P90 processor and coupled with the only option which is 8GB RAM.
The Oppo Reno 3 4G also has a quad-rear camera setup but it includes a 48MP primary sensor with an f/1.8 aperture, compared to the 64MP primary sensor available with the 5G model. The remaining setup includes a 13MP secondary sensor with a telephoto f/2.4 lens, 8MP tertiary sensor with a wide-angle f/2.2 lens, and a 2MP monochrome sensor with an f/2.4 lens.
For selfies, the Oppo Reno 3 4G model has a 44MP camera sensor with f/2.4 lens, compared to the 32MP front-facing camera available with the 5G model.
The battery capacity and the storage remain the same – 4,025mAh and the 128GB storage.
The price of the Oppo Reno 3 4G is unknown but consider it to be lesser than its 5G counterpart that starts at CNY 3,399 for the base 8GB RAM and 128GB storage option. The phone is currently listed on the Oppo Sri Lanka site in Aurora Blue and Midnight Black color options but without any price tag.
